Set on the streets of East Los Angeles, A Better Life follows the story of Carlos Galindo (Demian Bichir) who came across the border from Mexico with dreams every parent dreams for his family. Once in the U.S. though, he is forced to face the pressures of being a single parent to his only son. An examination of the unseen lives being led in America today, illustrated through the journey of a single father and his son, the film is ultimately the story of a father’s love and everything a parent will sacrifice to build a better life for his child.
