Synopsis

Rio is a comedy-adventure about leaving the nest. Blu, a domesticated Macaw who never learned to fly, lives in Minnesota with his owner and best friend Linda. Blu and Linda think he’s the last of his kind, but when they learn about another Macaw, they head to Rio de Janeiro to find Jewel, Blu’s female counterpart. Immersed in Rio’s vibrant culture and music,Blu reconnects with his Brazilian roots -- while finding the courage to fly, romance Jewel, and thwart a band of smugglers.
